We are all familiar with famous names such as Mozart and Beethoven, but there were other European composers such as Smetena and Dohnanyi who, while less well-known, wrote masterworks and influenced generations of American composers, whose works will also be featured. Concert repertoire includes Dohnanyi's Serenade op. 10: Carol Cole (violin), Ralph Fielding (viola), David Cole (cello) and conservatory students from the studio of Roberta Rust performing works for two pianos, eight-hands: the one movement Sonata in E minor and delightful Rondo in C by Smetana.
Mostly Music is a unique concert series that better acquaints audiences not only with the music but also the lives and artistic development of the Western World's greatest composers.
The concerts in this series feature the Conservatory's artist-faculty and students. Mostly Music is conceived and hosted by Marshall Turkin and staged by Jan McArt.
This event is part of a series which can be purchased as a package.more information
